Lor'sy's B-day
The Bear Clan celebrated Mama Bear's sister's 26th birthday at Laser Qu
est yesterday. The clan along with Dolores (aka Lor'sy, Aunt D, and Delo), Mark (her boyfriend), and Mike and Haley played two games of laser tag. There were really no bragging rights earned by any one member of the party. I think the best any of us did was in the top 10. It was fun, especially with "glow in the dark" Haley and Mark's Brite White shorts. For those who have never experienced laser tag, every player gets a "pack" with a laser. The pack has sensors on it to detect when you get "shot". The arena is pitch black and smokey (artificial smoke), only lit with black lights, so any light colored clothing stands out like a Fred Flinstone sore thumb!
Aunt D and Jack teamed up the second game. Poor David was stuck with a bum laser for both games. He usually places in the top 5 along with Aunt D, but there was some pretty stiff competition last night. An agent from Homeland security won the first game. (I think we were all glad he knew how to aim and shoot!)
After the second game Dolores was given a free game and the entire gaming group sang Happy Birthday to her. Our party then headed into the Coral Room...ooohhhh!
We dined on pizza and birthday brownie out of a box.
Dolores' gifts consisted of a personalized shirt made especially for Laser Quest, a work out top for warm up with Tony Horton, a membership to Bratz from David complete with a certificate, and the coveted Sonlight cook book! All of the gifts are inside jokes, so I do apologize to Mark, Mike and Haley.
