David's First Outing on the Mound

David pitched the first time for his team, the Minnesota Twins, during Summer Little League. He had two strikeouts in his first outing and took control of the team while on the mound.

The opposing team scored 4 runs but the Twins were able to get 3 outs. The last out coming on David's strikeout. It was the only inning where the Twins were able to finish the inning on outs and hold the opposing team to only 4 runs.

Overall, he threw 10 strikes and walked 2 batters. I've never seen him so proud of himself.

By the way...David did get hit by a pitch AGAIN but hit a shot down towards third base his next up to bat.

David is trying for Biggio's enfamous title of being hit most by pitches! It's uncanny how often he gets hit compared to the other kids, even by pitchers who have really good control at this age, hit David!

David also hit one kid on the foot when he was pitching. His pitches looked good. Even when they were called balls, they were in the range just outside. It was really neat to watch him.

Mama Bear-

I have to admit I was a wreck during the whole thing.

I don't think he's afraid of the ball just getting hit by one. Unfortunately, he's been hit every game. The parents are calling him the "Ball Magnet"

David did awesome. His last game was rained out. It appears pitching really naturally to him.

Great for David. We've always thought he would be a good pitcher, bc he throws very hard and has control. By the way, when MaMaBear said she was a wreck, now she knows how her MaMa and Dad felt whenever she was participating in competition!
